Rose Jordan

Rose Jordan was born in 1935. She was a member of the New York City chapter of the Daughters of Bilitis and was also involved with many LGBT and feminist organizations, including the National Organization for Women and the New York Radical Feminists (NYRF) in the 1970s. As a member of NYRF, she helped create the first rape conference and participated in numerous demonstrations, including a sit in at The Daily News after the newspaper insulted lesbians and gays in an editorial. She continues to be involved with the LGBT Center in New York City, where she runs meetings for women.
