P.D. Griffin

P.D. Griffin was born in 1929. She became the President of the Daughters of Bilitis in 1956. She was a member of the San Francisco chapter of the Daughters of Bilitis and became the President of the organization in 1956. She was also involved with the Daughters of Bilitis publication, “The Ladder.” For many years, she was involved with a women’s softball league and also played and performed the ukulele. Griffin was also an avid collector of lesbian fiction. She continued to be active in the lesbian community after the Daughters of Bilitis and was involved with the Bay Area Career Women. She passed away in 2003 in Fairfax, California.
